HOFBURG Vienna – the heart of the event world

The event business will very be much in full swing in the centre of Vienna over the next few months. This autumn will bring a host of international conventions as well as new exhibition concepts and exclusive gala evenings. A new event space was recently opened at the HOFBURG Vienna, extending capacity at the venue further still.

The Schatzkammersaal – newly adapted and fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment – provides an optimal addition to the existing range of spaces available on the ground floor for congresses, workshops and press conferences. The entrance via the Brunnenstiege staircase is located in the Schweizerhof courtyard, the oldest part of the Hofburg. “The stage that people meet on and the fascinating atmosphere created by the uniqueness of the setting leave a lasting impression,” as one of our event organisers put it.

New event formats are increasingly focusing on networking areas. Combining insights and networking in freely accessible spaces is a growing trend, and one that the venue’s flexible layouts actively support. Demand for multisensory communication concepts, interactive presentations and attention-grabbing media installations is increasing all the time. The ability to bring to life smart event concepts featuring the latest technologies, with the help of a dedicated team, is one of the event centre’s core strengths.

With 35 rooms and halls for up to 4,900 people, and 320 events attracting more than 300,000 participants each year, the HOFBURG Vienna is the hotspot for a surprising range of get-togethers, each with a charm of their own.
